Director David Roux will join us at Club de l'Étoile on March 23rd to watch his first feature film with English subtitles and engage with the audience in a question and answer period afterwards. This unique film shows the protagonist’s struggle with his mother’s cancer diagnosis both from the perspective of son and doctor, and was based on Roux’s own life.
37-year-old Simon is an experienced doctor who rubs shoulders with death on a daily basis in a respiratory department. Like any good professional, he has learnt to shield himself from it. But when his own mother is hospitalised in a critical condition in a nearby unit, his private and professional lives collide. Simon's whole world, his certainties and beliefs are shaken to the core. -Plot

Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have teamed up to bring you a two hour walk into the history of cinema around the Eiffel Tower, the star among the stars, and the district of Passy. Many international movies were shot here including "Mission Impossible" this year, not far from the location of "Inception" with Leonardo DiCaprio. You will learn about the beginning of cinema invented by the Lumiere Brothers and how it is linked to the Eiffel Tower and the World's Fair. We will also talk about French movies like "The Last Metro" by François Truffaut or "Peur sur la Ville" with Jean-Paul Belmondo. The story of these famous places and what filmmakers are looking for when they use them will be our main thread. The walk starts at 5:30pm and lasts for approximately 1 hour and a half. ☞ LIMITED TICKETS: https://www.weezevent.com/lost-in-frenchlation-x-cine-balade-present-trocadero-movie-tour
